Updated for 2023-2024
Each spring the Boggess PTA hosts a Chess Tournament open to all students. For students that have participated in the Chess After School Program, the entry fee for the Chess Tournament is waived.
The Chess Tournament format may be single bracket with grade levels paired, or there may be multiple brackets with grades/experience levels paired. This decision will be made when registration has closed, and information regarding the grade and experience of the participants.
We also try to balance the needs of the students, staff and volunteers to keep the tournament moving quickly and ending at a reasonable time - it is a school night after all!
WHEN IS IT?
Judges
Parents (and older students) can participate by volunteering to judge at the tournament.
