Meet our Principals                                                                                     

Dear Boggess Family,

It is my honor to serve the Boggess community as your Principal. My educational philosophy is rooted in doing what is in the best interest of students. One of my favorite quotes is, “They don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.” As such, building relationships is crucial in my work with students. I love working with elementary age students and have enjoyed the opportunity to reach a larger number of students in my role as an administrator. I am excited to expand that reach even further as a building principal.

Relationships are key in my personal life as well and when I am not fulfilling my Principal responsibilities, I try to spend as much time with family and friends as possible. Together we enjoy traveling, playing games, and being outdoors in any capacity. I also enjoy watching and following sports, most of all football.

I look forward to working alongside our staff, families, and community as we work together to ensure the success of our students.

Hola!

I am a native of Puerto Rico. I grew up surrounded by mountains and beautiful beaches. My husband and I moved to Texas to pursue graduate school in 2007. I attended the University of Texas where I graduated with a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction and Texas A&M Commerce, where I graduated with a Doctoral degree in Education. 

I started my career as a Theater Arts teacher and loved the fun and creative side of education. While a high school teacher, I started working as a reading tutor and that experience sparked my interest in the reading process. It was then that I found my true passion, teaching elementary children to read, think, create, and find their voices. Now as an administrator, my role is to support teachers, students and families in their teaching and learning journey. 

I love reading, traveling, hiking and learning about art. One of my favorite places is the Dallas Museum of Art because they have a phenomenal collection and bring in amazing masterpieces from around the world.
