We are searching for room parents and we want YOU!
 
Room parents help with things like:
  • Helping plan, coordinate, and conduct grade level class parties.
  • Helping with PTA events such as Carnival as needed.
  • Be a liaison between teacher’s needs and parent volunteers.
  • Assist teachers with projects required for the classroom (cutting, laminating, sorting, counting, etc.). This is usually done on a daily or weekly rotation basis through the classes.
  • The room parent does not necessarily have to complete this work, however, he/she is responsible for scheduling parents in the class to get the work done on the day(s) that their class is assigned.

** Grade level shirts are optional. If you choose not to purchase a grade level shirt, your child may wear a shirt in a color similar to their grade's shirt!

1st Afterschool Program of the Year: TX Chess Center

Registration for our upcoming after-school program with TX Chess Center is now open at

texaschesscenter.com/registration

 

We will need 3-4 parent volunteers to help from 2:50 - 4:25 on Wednesdays from August 28 - October 9 (7 sessions). Parent volunteers will help get registered students to the program from their classrooms, help supervise during the class, and assist with dismissal. All volunteers must have a current, completed background check in Voly. If you would like to volunteer, please email Katie Tsai at programs@boggesspta.org

 

The first 4 volunteers who sign up for the entire 7 weeks will receive free tuition for one student!
